How can leaders get the best from AI without losing the human things that make teams work? In this episode, Kevin talks with Paula Goldman about what it really means to “manage the machine” and why successful AI adoption depends as much on people as it does on technology. They discuss how leaders can think about AI as a powerful collaborator, where human oversight and clear guardrails still matter. Organizations need to be intentional about where AI should (and should not) make decisions. Paula also shares how AI can strengthen team dynamics by surfacing overlooked perspectives, challenging assumptions, and helping teams make better decisions in real time.
